Who we are

This website is run by ShapeUp FC, a grassroots youth football club based at Valence Park, Becontree Avenue, Dagenham RM8 3HT. For privacy questions, email info@shapeupfc.co.uk or call 07412 700776.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to send us:

• Join form: your name, email address and phone number; optionally your child's first name; your child's school year; preferred session; football experience; and any message you add.
• Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, the topic and your message.

We deliberately do not collect children's dates of birth, medical information, home addresses or photos through this website.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange a taster session and help your child join the club. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you tick the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or share your information for marketing. To run the website we use:

• Vercel — hosts the website.
• An email delivery service (Resend) — if switched on, emails a copy of your form submission to the club.
• Supabase (EU) — stores what you send through the Join and Contact forms in a private inbox that only club admins can open, plus club news posts, their photos and the logins of club volunteers.
• Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies. See our cookie policy.
• Google Maps — embedded maps on some pages load from Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and delete them automatically after 12 months at the latest. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email info@shapeupfc.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children's privacy

Our forms are designed to be completed by parents or carers. Please don't include sensitive information about your child, such as medical details, in a website message. See our safeguarding page.
